Dr. Iafrate began her career in healthcare as a high school student working for the Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital’s Food Services department, delivering evening meals to all the extended care patients. It was this opportunity that ultimately lead to her pursuit of an education and career in naturopathic medicine.
Graduating from the University of Waterloo in 2011 with Honours in Biochemistry and Business, Dr. Iafrate later went on to complete her degree in naturopathic medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. For Dr. Iafrate her passion lies in educating her patients on what it means to live in health and wellness. She currently runs a general family practice open to patients of all ages, with a special focus tailored towards mental health, acute and chronic pain management, weight loss, fibromyalgia and women’s health.
“My vision as a Naturopathic Physician and my role in shaping the future of medicine is simple. I strongly believe in a healthy, active approach to living and believe the body is able to heal itself when all psychological, emotional and physical barriers to health are removed; the sum of its parts must be in harmony. Alternative medicine will be the medicine of tomorrow and I am working hard towards becoming an integral part of that future, today.”
